About this XRP chart

XRP is the coin of the XRP Ledger, a network that went live in 2012 for payments and currency exchange. All 100 billion XRP were created at the start, so none are mined, and the fee on every transaction is destroyed. Ripple, the company often named alongside it, uses XRP in its cross-border payment products. One XRP divides into a million drops.

The price here is Hyperliquid's XRP perpetual in US dollars, shown with four decimals. A perpetual never expires; funding, settled every hour, keeps it near the spot price. Each timeframe tab holds about 150 candles, and XRP trades all week, so they run through weekends without gaps.

Questions and answers

Is there a free XRP live chart?

Yes, this page: XRP/USD candles from 1 minute to 1 day with the newest one moving live. The full chart behind the button adds indicators and drawing tools, free with no card.

Is XRP the same as Ripple?

No. Ripple is a company, and XRP is the coin of the XRP Ledger, a network it helped build. Many people still search for "Ripple price" when they mean XRP, and this chart is that price.

Does XRP trade on weekends?

Yes, around the clock, every day. The candles on this page run through Saturday and Sunday, and only the session highs and lows count weekdays.

Why does the XRP price have four decimals?

XRP moves in fractions of a cent, so the price shows four decimals and the axis three. The last digit of the price is a hundredth of a cent.

What is the funding rate shown here?

The hourly payment between long and short holders of the XRP perpetual on Hyperliquid. Positive means longs pay shorts, negative means shorts pay longs, and the size of the rate shows how far one side leans.

How many XRP are there?

100 billion were created when the ledger launched in 2012, and no more can be made. The total shrinks slowly, because the fee on each transaction is destroyed.
