About this oil chart
WTI, West Texas Intermediate, is the US benchmark crude: a light, low-sulphur oil whose futures are delivered at Cushing, Oklahoma. It is priced in US dollars per barrel, and trading platforms often list it as USOIL. The price here has two decimals, so the last digit is a cent a barrel.
The price comes from Hyperliquid's CL market, its oracle price for WTI crude, and the chart is drawn from that market's own candles. They keep the hours of WTI futures: Sunday 6:00 p.m. to Friday 5:00 p.m. New York time, with a one-hour pause from 5:00 p.m. each day and no weekend candles.
The tiles show the day's range, the range over the last five sessions, the full range since the chart's data begins, and the previous close.
Questions and answers
Is there a free oil live chart?
Yes, this page: WTI crude candles from 1 minute to 1 day, the newest moving live. The full chart behind the button adds indicators, drawing tools and alerts, free with no card.
Is USOIL the same as WTI?
Yes. USOIL is the name many trading platforms give WTI crude, and this chart follows WTI in US dollars per barrel.
What is the difference between WTI and Brent?
Both are benchmark crudes. WTI is US oil delivered at Cushing, Oklahoma, and Brent comes from the North Sea and prices much of the oil traded around the world.
When does oil trade?
From Sunday 6:00 p.m. to Friday 5:00 p.m. New York time, with a one-hour pause each day from 5:00 p.m. The line beside WTI at the top shows whether it is open, with a countdown.
When is the weekly oil inventory report?
The EIA's weekly petroleum status report usually comes out on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. New York time, a day later in a holiday week. The 1-minute tab shows how the price took it.
Where does the oil price on this page come from?
From the CL market on Hyperliquid's xyz exchange, its oracle price for WTI crude. The candles are that market's own, kept to the official futures hours.
