About this Avalanche chart
Avalanche is a proof-of-stake network built by Ava Labs, the company Emin Gün Sirer co-founded, and its main network went live in September 2020. It runs several chains at once; the C-Chain runs Ethereum-style smart contracts. AVAX pays the fees, which are burned, and the supply can never pass 720 million.
The price is Hyperliquid's AVAX perpetual in US dollars, with three decimals and two on the axis. It has no expiry, and funding, settled every hour, holds it close to the spot price. About 150 candles sit in each timeframe tab, so the 1-day tab reaches back about five months.
