On 13 October 2026 TradingView's free plan, Basic, allowed 2 indicators per chart. The paid plans allowed 5 on Essential, 10 on Plus, 25 on Premium and 50 on Ultimate, the professional tier. That is the TradingView indicator limit, and the third indicator is where the free plan stops.
Pravex (pravex.app) is our charting app. It has no cap per chart and 129 built-in indicators, and it is free, with no card and no ads. In our view it is the strongest free choice when the limit is your problem. It charts crypto, gold and silver today, and forex and more metals are being added.

The TradingView indicator limit, plan by plan
| Plan | Indicators per chart | Price a month, paid monthly |
|---|---|---|
| TradingView Basic (free) | 2 | Free |
| TradingView Essential | 5 | $14.95 |
| TradingView Plus | 10 | $34.95 |
| TradingView Premium | 25 | $69.95 |
| TradingView Ultimate (professional) | 50 | $239.95 |
| Pravex | No cap | Free |
The TradingView figures are from its pricing page on 13 October 2026. Prices are its US dollar prices, before any sales tax. The same page lists a second limit, indicator on indicator, for an indicator that takes another indicator's output as its input, such as a moving average of RSI (the relative strength index): 1 on Basic and Essential, 9 on Plus, 24 on Premium and 49 on Ultimate. TradingView's help center explains how it works.
Indicators on Pravex have no cap per chart
Pravex has 129 built-in indicators and puts no cap on how many go on one chart. It is free, so there is no plan to upgrade to. Open Bitcoin on Pravex, press Indicators (the / key does the same) and pick an indicator. Double-click its row in the Legend to open its settings, then add the next. Any other chart on Pravex works the same way.
What counts as an indicator
TradingView's help center describes an indicator as a formula applied to market data and plotted on the chart as lines, histograms, points and other shapes. A moving average is one. So are RSI and ATR, the average true range.
There is one way to stay free inside TradingView. Its help center says several indicators' calculations can be consolidated into a single indicator with one Pine script, and its Pine Script documentation lets one script have up to 64 plots. So one script that draws several moving averages is a single indicator on your chart. The catch is that you depend on that script and the settings its author gave it.
How many indicators you need
Say you read trend with a moving average and momentum with RSI. Add ATR to see volatility and that is three indicators, already past TradingView's free limit of 2.
In our view more than five or six on one chart usually repeats the same information. RSI and Stochastic both measure momentum, so showing both tells you the same thing twice.
The failure case is a method that needs many lines at once, such as a ribbon of moving averages. A cap hurts that method most.
For gold, our picks are in best indicators for gold.
Example: say your chart has two moving averages, RSI, ATR and volume. Counting each as one, that is 5 indicators. TradingView's free plan allows 2, so the cheapest plan that fits is Essential, which allows 5. Paid monthly, 12 × $14.95 = $179.40 for a year, before any sales tax. The same chart on Pravex costs nothing.
Billed annually, TradingView's US dollar price for Essential was $12.95 a month on 13 October 2026. Cheaper per month, still more than free.
Where TradingView still fits
TradingView's community library is large: its help center says over 100,000 custom indicators. If the script you want lives there, a paid plan is how you run it next to several others. TradingView changes its plans, so read its pricing page before you pay. TradingView Premium free covers the legal ways to try it first. If you are weighing the top plan, see whether Premium is worth it.
If the cap is what stopped you, open a chart on Pravex and add the whole setup. Not financial advice.
