Line drawing: a film reel standing upright, with a hub and six round holes, and a strip of film running out from under it across a dotted floor toward the front right, drawn in white lines; the strip is divided into frames with small sprocket marks down both edges, and the frame nearest us is blue, with rings spreading on the floor around it, while one more frame beyond it is only dotted and dim, for the one still to come.

Bar replay is free on Pravex. Pick any candle on a crypto chart and play the market forward from there, one candle at a time, on minute candles as well as daily ones. TradingView's free plan replays daily candles and higher only, and minute replay starts on its paid plans.

Pravex is our charting app, and in our view it is the best free bar replay there is for crypto. It charts crypto, gold and silver, and more markets are being added.

The TradingView columns are the Bar Replay rows of its pricing page on 12 October 2026. Basic is its free plan.

Example: say you want to replay 15-minute candles. On TradingView that needs Essential. Paid month by month, 12 × $14.95 = $179.40 a year, and the replay reaches back 180 days. On Pravex the same replay costs nothing.

So the free plan is fine if you replay daily charts. Trade anything faster and that is where the wall is.

Replay a chart on Pravex, free

Open a Bitcoin chart on Pravex, or any other coin, and set the timeframe you trade. Then:

  1. Click Replay in the top bar.
  2. Choose where to start. Pick a candle on the chart, pick a date, start from the earliest date, or let Pravex drop you on a random candle.
  3. Press Play, or step forward one candle at a time.
  4. Set how fast it plays. There are nine speeds, from one candle every ten seconds to ten candles a second.
  5. Click "Back to the live chart" when you are done.

Two keys do most of the work. Shift and the right arrow moves one candle forward, and Shift and the down arrow plays or pauses.

The random candle is the one we like most. You land somewhere in the past with no idea what comes next, which is how a live chart feels. Replay that starts from a move you already remember teaches you very little.

Everything else on the chart stays with you while it replays. Keep as many indicators on as your setup needs, from 129 built in, and draw with any of the 87 drawing tools. It is free, with no card and no ads.

Replay a whole layout at once

This is where Pravex's replay goes further. Open up to 16 charts in one layout, then choose "Every chart" in the replay options. Now Bitcoin on the 1h, the 15m and the 5m move forward together, candle for candle, and you see how the small timeframe behaved inside the big one.

Choose "This chart only" and one chart replays while the others stay live. We think this makes Pravex the strongest free replay for anyone who reads more than one timeframe.

Open a chart and press Replay

What to do with it

Replay is how you test a rule by hand. Write the rule down first: the entry, the stop, the exit. Replay 50 setups, note each result, and count. If the rule only works on the three trades you remember, the count will show it.

It is also practice. A month of 15-minute candles is 2,880 candles. Live, that is a month of waiting. At ten candles a second it replays in under five minutes.

Where TradingView's replay still fits

If you replay daily charts, its free plan does that well. Its paid plans add minute history and markets such as stocks and futures from many exchanges. Pravex charts crypto, gold and silver today, and more markets are being added.

TradingView changes its plans, so read its pricing page before you pay. If a free minute replay was all you wanted, open Pravex and press Replay. Not financial advice.
