Yes, free market profile charts exist, and so do volume profile and footprint charts: Pravex (pravex.app), which we make, has all three for crypto, and ATAS, GoCharting, Exocharts and LuxAlgo have free routes with limits. In our view Pravex is the strongest of them, because it gives you an order flow chart free of charge, with no card and no ads.
On crypto charts that means three order flow chart types in one menu, plus eight volume and TPO profile studies. Pravex charts crypto, gold and silver today, and forex and more metals are being added.
We read each tool's own page on 13 October 2026. Not affiliated with TradingView.

| Pravex | Yes | Yes | Yes | All three on crypto charts, no card, no ads |
| TradingView | Premium and up | Essential and up | Premium and up | None of the three on Basic, its free plan |
| ATAS | Market Profile & TPO | Volume Profile | Footprint | Start plan, always free: market profile and footprint, 3 indicators a chart |
| GoCharting | Market Profile aka TPO | Volume Profile | Footprint | Basic market and volume profile, free plan |
| Exocharts | TPO | Volume profiles | Footprint | Desktop Pro, no registration, order flow on SHIBA, DOGE and SOLANA pairs |
| LuxAlgo | TPO | Volume profiles | Footprint | Free plan, full order flow, 1-day lookback |
| NinjaTrader | Not named on pages we read | Volume profile indicator | Volumetric bars | Futures charts free, Order Flow+ needs a funded account |
| ProRealTime | Add-on, €19 or $25 a month | Indicator and drawing object | Not named on pages we read | Web version free, Market Profile paid |
TradingView puts all three in one app. On 13 October 2026 its US dollar prices, paid monthly, were $14.95 a month for Essential and $69.95 for Premium. GoCharting's pages disagree on footprint: its Order Flow page says basic footprint charts are free, while its pricing table puts footprint under Premium.
Open an order flow chart free on Pravex
Open Bitcoin on Pravex and open the chart type menu in the top bar. Volume footprint, Time price opportunity and Session volume profile sit together in it. Pick one.
For the studies, click Indicators in the top bar and open the Profiles tab. It lists eight, among them Time Price Opportunity and Visible Range Volume Profile. CVD, open interest, funding rate and liquidation prints are built-in indicators on crypto charts too.
Pravex has no cap on indicators per chart, while ATAS's free plan allows 3.
What a TPO profile shows
A TPO profile (time price opportunity, also called a market profile) counts the time periods that traded at each price. Stack the counts sideways and you get the profile. The point of control is the price with the most periods. The value area is the band around it that holds most of them, usually 70% according to ProRealTime's own page.
It fails on thin markets, where few periods trade at each price and no clear shape forms. Crypto never closes, so you choose where a session starts and ends, and a different choice draws a different profile.
Example: say a coin spends a session in seven price rows, 10 dollars apart, from 190 to 250 (made-up numbers). The 30-minute periods that touched each row, from the top down, are 1, 2, 4, 6, 4, 2 and 1, which is 20 periods. The busiest row, 220 with 6 periods, is the point of control. The value area needs 70% of 20, which is 14. Start at 6 and keep adding the busier neighbor: 6 + 4 (at 230) + 4 (at 210) = 14. The value area runs from 210 to 230.
What a footprint chart shows
A footprint chart opens each candle up. Instead of one body you see the volume traded at every price inside it, bid side against ask side. The bid side is trades that hit resting buy orders, the ask side is trades that lifted resting sell orders, and delta is ask volume minus bid volume.
Thin markets hurt it: a candle with a handful of trades gives a lopsided cell that means little. On low timeframes the candles are narrow, so the numbers are too small to read until you zoom in. Older footprint candles on Pravex are built from candles, not trades, so they are an estimate. More in our footprint chart guide.
When a paid desktop tool is worth it
Pay for a desktop tool if your decisions depend on trade-by-trade data, or if you trade futures. ATAS says it offers more than 400 footprint variations and builds them from tick-by-tick exchange data. Exocharts says its Desktop Pro app downloads tick-by-tick data, at €49 a month paid monthly. NinjaTrader's free charts are built for futures.
For profiles and footprints on crypto without paying, open Pravex and start with the chart type menu. Not financial advice.
Questions and answers
Where can I get market profile charts for free?
In our view the best free market profile charts for crypto are on Pravex (pravex.app), which we make: a Time price opportunity chart type and eight volume and TPO profile studies, with no card and no ads.
Is there a free order flow chart?
Yes. Pravex has an order flow chart free on crypto charts, the Volume footprint chart type. LuxAlgo's free plan also has the full order flow suite, with a one-day lookback.
Is TPO free on TradingView?
No. On 13 October 2026 TradingView included Time Price Opportunities (TPO) on Premium and Ultimate only.
What is the difference between market profile and volume profile?
A market profile (TPO) counts the time price spent at each level, and a volume profile adds up the volume traded there. They can differ: a level where price lingered on little volume stands tall in the TPO and short in the volume profile.
Can I see a footprint chart for crypto for free?
Yes. On Pravex, open a crypto chart and pick Volume footprint in the chart type menu. ATAS says footprint charts are free on its Start plan with no time limit.
