Multiple charts on TradingView for free means two tabs side by side, because the free plan, Basic, shows 1 chart per tab. The paid plans allow 2, 4, 8 and 16 charts per tab, and Pravex, the charting app we make, opens up to 16 charts in one layout for free.
In our view Pravex is the strongest free choice for several charts at once, because the charts in a layout sync by symbol, timeframe, crosshair, time and date range. It is free, with no card and no ads. It charts crypto, gold and silver today, and forex and more metals are being added.

Multiple charts free on Pravex, up to 16 in one layout
Open a chart on Pravex on a laptop or desktop and set up a layout:
- Click the Chart grid button in the top bar, the square one next to the layout name.
- Pick a layout by number of charts, from 1 up to 16. Each new chart starts with the symbol, timeframe, chart type and indicators of the one you had open.
- Click a chart to make it the active one, then set its timeframe from the Timeframe button in the top bar. Repeat for each chart.
- Open the Chart grid menu again. Under Link charts there are five switches: Symbol, Timeframe, Crosshair, Time and Date range. Only Crosshair is on at first.
Say you set Bitcoin on the 1h, the 15m and the 5m. Switch Symbol on and a new coin on one chart goes to all three. Leave Timeframe off and each chart keeps its own timeframe. With Crosshair on, hovering a candle on the 1h marks the same time on the other two, and with Time on, a click on one chart sends the other two to the same moment.
On crypto charts, bar replay can run on every chart of a layout at once.
Two charts on TradingView for free
Basic allows 2 simultaneous chart connections. Each open browser tab or app counts as one, so one tab plus one app is two. Put two tabs side by side, each with one chart, and you have two charts for free. Open a third and TradingView closes the oldest.
Its desktop app lists native multi-monitor support and tab linking by symbol between windows on every plan, Basic included. If a daily chart next to an hourly one is all you need, that is enough. A third chart takes a paid plan, which also raises the connection limit: Essential allows 10.
How many charts you really need
In our view two to four charts cover most setups: the timeframe you trade, one above it for the bigger picture, one below it for the detail, and sometimes a second market. Sixteen charts on a laptop screen leave each one a sixteenth of the display, too small to read a candle or a legend. The biggest layouts suit a large monitor. Watch many markets at once and four will feel tight.
Example: say you want Bitcoin on the 1h, the 15m and the 5m, plus Ethereum on the 15m, all in one tab. On TradingView that needs Plus, the first plan with 4 charts per tab. Paid monthly, that is 12 × $34.95 = $419.40 a year, if the price holds. Two Essential tabs side by side, 2 charts each, would also show four, at 12 × $14.95 = $179.40 a year. On Pravex the same four charts in one layout cost nothing.
Plans and prices can change, so check TradingView's pricing page before you pay. If several free charts are what you came for, open a layout on Pravex. Not financial advice.
