If you came to Quantower for footprint and volume profile, Pravex has both free for crypto in your browser, along with TPO. In Quantower's free version the cluster chart (its footprint) and the volume profiles are not included. They start with its Crypto package at $40 a month.
In our view the strongest free Quantower alternative for crypto charts is Pravex (pravex.app). We make it. It is free with no card, and it opens in any browser, Mac included. Pravex charts crypto, gold, silver, oil and US indices today, and more markets are being added.
We read Quantower's own pages on 26 October 2026. Pravex is not affiliated with Quantower.

The Quantower column comes from its pricing page and licence comparison. The system needs are on its download page. The main price figures carry no currency sign, while its savings labels are in dollars. The Crypto package is $40 a month, or $990 for a lifetime licence. All-in-One, at $70 a month, adds the TPO chart. A 7-day full trial needs a Quantower account.
Open footprint and volume profile on Pravex
- Open Bitcoin on Pravex, or any other coin, and choose your timeframe.
- Pick Volume footprint in the chart type menu. Settings, Price tab, sets the Type, the Display and the Imbalance ratio.
- For volume at each price, add a profile study on top of the candles, such as the visible range volume profile or the session volume profile. There are eight volume and TPO profile studies in all.
- For a market profile, pick Time price opportunity in the chart type menu.
Older footprint candles on Pravex are built from candles, not trades, so they are an estimate. New candles fill from live trades.
Reading a volume profile
A volume profile turns the volume of a range sideways, so you see where most of the trading happened and where price went through with little trade.
Example: say a range on a Bitcoin chart traded at five price rows, from the top: 120, 30, 210, 340 and 100 BTC (made-up round numbers). The point of control is the 340 row, where the most changed hands, 340 of the 800 BTC in the range, or 42.5%. The 30 row is a low-volume node: price passed through it with little trade. Traders often watch the point of control as a level price may stall at, and a low-volume node as ground price may cross again quickly.
Neither is a promise. A profile built over a few hours on a thin coin can move a lot once a large order lands, so it reads best on liquid pairs and over full sessions.
Where Quantower still fits
Quantower is a trading terminal first. It connects to more than 60 brokers and data feeds. Its DOM Trader panel and Market Heatmap panel are on every plan, the free one included. Its connections page says some connections, such as AMP, unlock the paid features for free. If you place orders from a DOM and want one program for several brokers, it is built for that.
If you mainly read crypto charts and want order flow without paying, open Pravex in your browser. The order flow software comparison puts Quantower next to four other apps. Not financial advice.
