What security firms found inside TradingView cracked and mod APK files
Five security firms found stealers in TradingView cracked, mod APK and fake downloads. The dated reports, what to do if you ran one, and free options.

A TradingView cracked file or mod APK does not give you Premium, because Premium is a plan on your account that TradingView sells only on its own site and in its official apps. What security firms found inside downloads posing as TradingView, in reports from March 2025 to August 2026, was malware that steals saved passwords and crypto wallet data.

What a cracked file or mod APK installed, report by report
A stealer is malware that copies saved logins and wallet data. None of these reports counts victims or money lost, so we do not either.

TradingView's own security page warns about "cracked" builds and says its apps come only from its website and the official app stores.
Example: say a paid plan costs $25 a month, so 12 × $25 = $300 a year. You skip it and run a "cracked" file on a PC with a $2,000 crypto wallet and a saved exchange login with $1,000 behind it. If a stealer takes both, you lose $2,000 + $1,000 = $3,000, which is 10 years of the plan ($3,000 ÷ $300 = 10).
How to tell a lure
- You are told to switch off your antivirus, or to allow a blocked app in your settings (Malwarebytes, Hexastrike).
- The download is a password-protected archive, which keeps scanners from looking inside (Malwarebytes, Hexastrike).
- The link is in the description of a video that only plays as an ad, on a channel with the wrong handle (Bitdefender).
- On Android, an app asks for accessibility access or your lock screen PIN for no clear reason (Bitdefender).
Malwarebytes adds that these scams are easy to fall for, especially when a friend recommends the file. Our advice is to skip it whoever sends it.
What to use instead, free
TradingView's own free plan, Basic, is the first place to look. Its pricing page listed it as free on 13 October 2026. You get a wide choice of markets, with tighter limits than the paid plans, and our page on the legal ways to get Premium features has the rest.

If you already ran one
If in doubt, treat the device as compromised. Hexastrike says to count everything saved on it as exposed: browser passwords, session cookies, wallet keys and tokens. The FTC's steps are to stop logging in to your accounts, update your security software, run a scan, then change your passwords and turn on two-factor authentication. The UK's National Cyber Security Centre adds that if a scan cannot clean a PC, you wipe it and reinstall from the operating system up. On a phone, it calls a factory reset the safest fix.

Is TradingView cracked safe?
No. Between March 2025 and August 2026, five security firms reported malware in downloads posing as TradingView, from cracked builds to fake installers.
Does a TradingView mod APK work?
We found no report of one that does. Bitdefender took apart an Android file in August 2025 and found spyware with remote control, and it advises installing apps only from official stores such as Google Play.
Is there a free TradingView Premium?
Not from a file. TradingView has no authorized resellers, but it does have a free plan, and our page on the legal ways to get Premium features covers the rest.
What is the safest free alternative?
