Gold market open time in UAE and XAUUSD hours in Dubai time
Gold (XAUUSD) opens Monday 02:00 UAE time until 31 October 2026, then 03:00 after the US clock change. Plus the pause and the weekend.

The gold market open time in UAE is Monday at 02:00, Dubai time. XAUUSD then trades until Saturday at 01:00, pausing for an hour from 01:00 to 02:00 on the nights between. That holds until Saturday 31 October 2026. From Monday 2 November each of those times is an hour later, because the US changes its clocks and the UAE does not.

Every time here is UAE time, four hours ahead of UTC all year with no clock change. They are the hours of gold futures on CME Globex, which trade Sunday to Friday from 6:00 pm to 5:00 pm in New York with a 60-minute break each day from 5:00 pm (CME's gold contract page). Brokers quote the same week but set their own hours, and two can open or pause from a few minutes to an hour apart, so check your platform before a trade that depends on the minute.

Where the week meets the UAE weekend
The UAE federal government's official weekend is Saturday and Sunday (UAE government portal, updated 12 August 2026). The gold market is still open late on Friday night, shuts in the first hours of Saturday and reopens on Monday before the working day starts.
The US clock change and your alarm
Example: say you set an alarm for the Monday open at 02:00. It is right until Monday 26 October 2026, because New York is on summer time: 6:00 pm there is 22:00 UTC, and 22:00 plus four hours is 02:00. After the US clocks go back on Sunday 1 November, 6:00 pm is 23:00 UTC, so the open is 03:00 on Monday 2 November and the alarm rings an hour early. It is right again from Monday 15 March 2027, after the US clocks go forward on 14 March.
NIST gives the rule: US clocks change at 2:00 am on the first Sunday of November and the second Sunday of March.

The jobs report has CPI's New York time but lands an hour later in the UAE, because the US will be on winter time. The times are the agencies' own (the Fed's September statement went out at 2:00 pm), and every date is on our economic calendar.
What about the weekend price?
XAUUSD has no weekend price: from Saturday 01:00 to Monday 02:00 the screen shows Friday's last one. The gold perpetual on crypto exchanges runs all seven days, and Pravex charts Binance's gold perpetual. It is a separate market that can drift from gold while the real one is shut, so it is a chart to look at and no reason to trade.
DGCX and holidays
The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange lists gold futures of its own and keeps its own hours, so check DGCX's site if that is your contract. Gold follows the US exchange calendar, so Eid and National Day do not change the hours above and US holidays do (CME's holiday calendar).

Does the gold market time change in UAE?
Yes, whenever the US changes its clocks. The UAE does not, but gold keeps New York time, so its hours move an hour on the UAE clock: later from Monday 2 November 2026, earlier from Monday 15 March 2027.
What time is US CPI in UAE time?
16:30 in the UAE on Wednesday 14 October 2026, which is 8:30 am New York time. The next one, on Tuesday 10 November 2026, is at 17:30 because the US clocks will have gone back.
