The live price is at the top of this page, in US dollars for one troy ounce of gold. It moves from Sunday 6:00 p.m. to Friday 5:00 p.m. New York time, apart from a one-hour pause each day.

The levels block works them out from the last full session's high, low and close with the classic formula: the pivot is the average of the three, and R1 to R3 and S1 to S3 sit at set distances above and below it. They are arithmetic that many traders watch, not a forecast.

The line under the live price says how far gold is from the previous session's close, in dollars and per cent, and the summary says how much of a usual day's range it has covered.

The schedule lists the session opens, the London gold auctions, the daily pause and the US data releases of the next day, on your own clock, with how long until each.
