Worked example
These are illustrative numbers, not a real session. Say gold's last session had a high of $4,050.00, a low of $3,950.00 and a close of $4,020.00, after opening at $3,980.00.
Classic pivots start from the average of the three: P = (4,050 + 3,950 + 4,020) ÷ 3 = $4,006.67. The range is 4,050 − 3,950 = $100.
R1 = 2 × 4,006.67 − 3,950 = $4,063.33 and S1 = 2 × 4,006.67 − 4,050 = $3,963.33. R2 adds the range to the pivot: $4,106.67, and S2 takes it away: $3,906.67. R3 = 4,050 + 2 × (4,006.67 − 3,950) = $4,163.33 and S3 = 3,950 − 2 × (4,050 − 4,006.67) = $3,863.33.
DeMark looks at the open first. The close ($4,020) is above the open ($3,980), so X = 2 × 4,050 + 3,950 + 4,020 = 16,070. The pivot is X ÷ 4 = $4,017.50, R1 = X ÷ 2 − 3,950 = $4,085.00 and S1 = X ÷ 2 − 4,050 = $3,985.00.

Worked out by the calculator above from the example's high, low, close and open. Woodie's pivot weighs the close twice, so its levels sit a little higher here.
The formulas
Classic (floor): P = (high + low + close) ÷ 3. R1 = 2P − low, S1 = 2P − high, R2 = P + range, S2 = P − range, R3 = high + 2 × (P − low), S3 = low − 2 × (high − P). The range is high − low.
Woodie: the same levels around a pivot that counts the close twice, P = (high + low + 2 × close) ÷ 4.
Camarilla: levels around the close, not the pivot. R1 = close + range × 1.1 ÷ 12, R2 = close + range × 1.1 ÷ 6, R3 = close + range × 1.1 ÷ 4, R4 = close + range × 1.1 ÷ 2, and S1 to S4 the same distances below. The pivot shown is the classic one.
Fibonacci: the classic pivot, with levels at 0.382, 0.618 and 1 times the range above and below it.
DeMark: X = high + 2 × low + close when the close is below the open, 2 × high + low + close when it is above, and high + low + 2 × close when they are equal. P = X ÷ 4, R1 = X ÷ 2 − low, S1 = X ÷ 2 − high.

Questions and answers
Which session should I use for daily pivots?
The last full one. For gold, silver, oil and the index markets that is the day from 17:00 to 17:00 New York time, the way broker daily candles are cut, with no weekend session. For bitcoin it is the last full UTC day. The market buttons above use exactly those.
What is the difference between Classic and Camarilla pivots?
Classic levels are spread around the pivot using the whole range, so R2 and S2 often sit far away. Camarilla levels hang off the close and are much tighter: in the example R1 is $9.17 above the close. Day traders use Camarilla for nearby levels and Classic for the bigger picture.
Why does DeMark need the open?
DeMark changes its formula by how the session ended: a close below the open weighs the low twice, a close above weighs the high twice. Without the open it cannot pick, so the open box is only switched on for DeMark.
Do pivot points work on every market?
The arithmetic works on any market with a high, low and close. Whether a level holds is another matter: pivots are reference points many traders watch, not predictions. Use them next to your own reading of the chart.
Where does the live data come from?
Gold and silver come from Pravex's own price recorder, the same bars our gold chart draws. Oil, SP500, XYZ100 and bitcoin come from Hyperliquid's market data. The live price on the ladder updates every few seconds. Nothing is stored.
