OPEC+ meetings and WTI after each

Dates: OPEC's press releases on opec.org; each row links to its own, and the next meetings are the dates those releases set. WTI: computed by Pravex from Hyperliquid's xyz:CL 1-hour candles (opens), read 28 October 2026. "At the reopening" runs from the last 5:00 p.m. ET close before the meeting day to the 6:00 p.m. ET reopening after it; "to the next close" runs on to the 5:00 p.m. ET close of the next trading day. Meetings older than Hyperliquid's kept 1-hour candles show no move. With 2 meetings measured so far, these are single events, not a pattern.

What OPEC+ decides

OPEC+ is OPEC's members plus a group of other producers, Russia among them. At these meetings a small group of them sets how much extra oil to add or hold back the next month, and a monitoring committee (the JMMC) checks who kept to their targets. The decision comes out as a press release on the day.

Why oil traders watch the date

A change to supply targets can move WTI and Brent the moment trading opens. If you hold oil over a meeting weekend, the Sunday reopening is the price to watch. Gold traders sometimes watch it too, because oil feeds into inflation expectations.

Questions and answers

When is the next OPEC+ meeting?

On Sunday 1 November 2026: the monthly meeting of the OPEC+ countries with voluntary adjustments, the date OPEC's own press release sets. After that, Sunday 29 November 2026 (69th Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee).

Why are OPEC+ meetings on a Sunday?

Every meeting on this page falls on a Sunday, when oil futures are shut, so the decision is out before trading starts again at 6:00 p.m. New York time. That is why the move shows up first as a jump at the reopening.

Where do these dates come from?

From OPEC's own press releases on opec.org. Each row links to the release, and the next meetings are the dates those releases name. Dates can change, so check the latest release in the week of a meeting.
